Briston is a large, friendly village on the edge of the picturesque Glaven Valley. It is an excellent location for touring North Norfolk as it is central to so much in the area.
The village has a village store, post office, bakery and butchers, all within easy walking distance. There are also two pubs, a takeaway restaurant, fish and chip shop and Chinese restaurant (deliveries only) nearby.
Briston is a five minute drive from the historic Georgian market town of Holt. The coast at Blakeney is less than a fifteen minute drive and the wonderful beaches at Wells-next-the-sea and Weybourne twenty minutes away. The market town of Aylsham is also within easy reach. Norwich and the Broads are 30 minutes away.
Clee House is within easy reach of the Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Gardens (featured on the BBC's Springwatch 2008) and the Thursford Collection.
