Miscellaneous

Edingthorpe

Edingthorpe is a quiet rural hamlet that benefits from being part of the “quiet lanes” scheme, making it an excellent location for walking and cycling. The village has a fine church, in part dating from Saxon times and with links to the war poet Siegfried Sassoon.

The village is ideally placed to explore the Norfolk Broads and coast. The sandy beaches at Bacton and Mundesley are less than two miles distant.

The nearby market town of North Walsham, with a weekly market, has good shopping, pubs and restaurants.

The Bittern Line Railway runs from here providing access to the Broads, Norwich and the Norfolk Coast at Cromer and Sheringham. By car the Broads can be reached in around 20 minutes.
