Binham
Binham is an unspoilt, rural village surrounded by lovely open countryside. The village is well-served with a village shop, petrol pump, butcher and the friendly and welcoming Chequers Inn, serving food and with its own micro brewery. There is also a regular bus service to Holt and Wells.
The village is dominated by the 12th Century Benedictine Abbey, where classical concerts are held throughout the year, details of which can be found at binhampriory.org. The cottage is three miles from the coast at Stiffkey. Morston, Wells, Blakeney and Holkham are also within easy reach.
There is lots to see and do locally – sailing at Morston, Blakeney and Wells, birdwatching at the Cley Marshes nature reserve, walking the coastal path and seal trips from Morston. The Georgian town of Holt, with its excellent shopping, cafés and restaurants is also within a short drive.
